I made a post a few weeks back about having to "purchase' AT&It's modem. I'm not sure if anyone replayed but I would love some feed back. I called a few times to customer service about not wishing to pay 100$ a potential paper weight, and was told I could sell their modem on craigslist or eBay if I no longer want AT&T's service after my 1 yr contract is up. What kind of bull is that? I had RCN in Chicago and WOW in Michigan and never once had to buy their equipment. I asked about a rebate and was informed that its only valid if you have a phone line or cable. The service I ordered was the 19.95 internet service because in today's economy necessities really ( I fee)l don't include outrageous bundles packages that barely get used because we work all day. So tell me please what are my options because there is no way that I'm paying 100$ for something that will be useless if I choose a different provider in a yrs time?

Hello,
After sending my post I got a call from Anthony G from the social media team. They removed the modem fee(100$) and reestablished the activation fee(49.95) which I was happy to pay. Thank you very much.
Andrew
