Mistakes happen. That's a fact of life. Especially with larger companies. And usually it's okay as long as the mistake is fixed.
However, when the mistake is not fixed. Or it's repeated more than once, and the company just looks the other way, it's time to take things to the next level.
Don't let these crooks take your money. Don't pay fees that you don't owe. As a consumer, you should protect what is yours, and what is right.
So if AT&T is cheating you, take it to the next level. Don't let them have it.
Report AT&T to the BBB! Here is the link for easy access: http://www.bbb.org/
I am tired of dealing with their customer service. They lie to you. They lie to you again. Suddenly you have a fee that doesn't add up. They just want your money. But you shouldn't let them get away with it.
I was told twice, by two different representatives. "No, Ma'am, there will be no early termination fee." Then two months after cancelling my service, there's a fee. TWO MONTHS LATER. I call and they suddenly have no record of those first two calls. They're just a bunch of crooks.

I Completely agree. I got home DSL in December 2011 for $19.95 monthly. They have never charged me $19.95...instead they uped it $5.00 and are charging me $24.95. I have called so many times I can't even keep up. Each time I call I ask for a supervisor and the supervisor is always in a meeting. They tell me they will call me back and I never receive a call back. I have been patiently waiting for 5 months for them to charge me the correct amount. I guess I'm going to stop holding my breath and report to BBB.

Good idea. I have been getting billed $30 per month for DSL on a phone line at my previous address -- after I moved. All the call center reps agree I shouldn't be getting billed. They keep giving me credit and tell me they will turn it off.
It never gets turned off. Eight months and counting...

I filed a complaint with the BBB and I am going to file more with everyone and anyone who will listen. I am going to use the Internet to bombard AT&T with complaints and warn others not to use their services. I have never met so many lying thieves under one corporate umbrealla. I think they go through extensive training for lying.

I don't know what you people are complaining about. I've had AT&T for 5 years and have NO problems with them whatsoever! The one or two times I called in, my question was answered and they even adjusted my account accordingly. They are MUCH better than V_____. I had V______ before and had nothing but dropped calls and no service inside my home. I moved and live in a mobile home now and still have no problems. I was recently in the Poconos and had service when friends with other carriers had no service. I happen to love AT&T!

Persistence pays off! I got a call from AT&T and they are waiving the cancellation fees for my hot spot and tablet data plans due to the problems I was having with the service. The customer service representative was VERY nice and VERY HELPFUL. She put me on hold and came back and said in light of the problems, they are waiving the cancellation fees. (Maybe it helped that I put my complaints and displeasure on an AT&T forum and they don't want negative publicity.) This is such a relief to me! God answered my prayer on this matter.
Instead of reporting them, keep calling and emailing until you get someone to respond. ![]()

Signed up for the $55 a month service for internet and my last bill was just shy of $200. Ridiculous . Every single month I need to call to get things fixed and a year later things are still not fixed. They tell me they never had "this plan" then downgrade me, then charge me more, I call next month to get the bills fixed and they all the sudden have the $55 deal back that didn't exist, then they charge fee's for setup. Come on!
