I've been trying to dispute an account with AT&T that is not mine. They have the information of the person who actually opened the account, but my social security number. They say that I have to file an identity theft report to resolve it but I don't believe it was a case of identity theft at all, I think it was a mistake somewhere on AT&T's end. I've been trying to speak with someone about this but I just keep getting redirected to the initial automated system and/or stuck on hold (I just hung up again after a 25 minute hold time). If anyone knows of a direct number to a dispute department so that I can at least wait on hold for the right people, I'd greatly appreciate it.
