Hello: with at&T I was at the 3.0 mb/s tier, now when I go to dsl extreme, I only qualify for 1.5 MB/s. How do I upgrade the pre-qual database? DSL extreme leases lines from AT&T.
Thanks in advance;
Sincerely; Brian W.

The fastest DSL you can get from AT&T is DSL Internet-Elite which is 6 Mbps.
I believe you're talking about AT&T Uverse Internet-Extreme.
If AT&T DSL Internet-Pro (3 Mbps) is the fastest you could get, then you are probably not eligible for any AT&T Uverse services (due to distance and/or infrastructure).

Hello: I was referring to the company DSL Extreme.They lease lines from AT&T. I was getting the 3.0 tier from at&T. DSL Extreme only offers 1.5. How do I upgrade the pre-qualification database,so the 3.0MB tier is available.
Thanks in advance;

Hello: I should say how do I get AT&T to override or update the DSL pre-Qual database. Iwas at the 3.0mb/s tier with AT&T, before I went to DSL Extreme company.
Thanks in advance;
Sincerely, Brian W.

I would think that would be the job of DSL Extreme. It's also possible that is the fastest port/linecard AT&T has available to lease out (or is willing to lease out).
If DSL Extreme could only get you half the speed of AT&T, why did you switch.

Hello: They tried but at&T won't let it go through. I was connected at 2432 and happy with that. Could an AT&T person update the dsl pre-qual database for my address.
Thanks in advance;
Sincerely; Brian W.

The problem is that it's not that simple. AT&T must be willing and able to lease the higher speed port to DSL Extreme. If they don't do that, no amount of database updating will change it. Unfortunately at this point, even if you were to switch back to AT&T, your 3Mbps port has probably already been re-issued to a new AT&T customer and you may only get 1.5Mbps, or not even be able to get DSL from them at all.
Unfortunately, quite often you get to the other side of the fence, and find the grass is just spraypainted green.
