because of your recent change in policy on the cap of 150GB I will probably be looking at other options for internet service and TV . And I am using your TV service(dish network with the blockbuster add-on). All of these services I pay for thru ATT. You cant sell a product and not support it and its features then dont insult your Long term customers with the offers. These limits are not realistic so as you lose customers Im sure you will have more bandwidtdwith to offer. BAD marketing! My 2 cents worth

How much bandwidth do you use on average anyways? I'm pretty sure it doesn't get anywhere near 150GB.

With netflix service you can hit that cap with about 40 HD movies if you do NOTHING else on the Internet for the entire month.
So someone who watches around a movie a day (or a few TV shows a day) which isn't very far fetched, especially for a family with various kids and adults whom may be watching different things. Then you can add in some other standard Internet practices - like downloading software from digital distribution platforms like Steam or Amazon where you can go anywhere from 5-10 gig a pop on your purchase --- you can easily hit that 150 GB cap without breaking a sweat.

Just an update, looked at my usage for a household of 3 people on 6mbps dsl where our real connection speed is closer to 2-3mbps because our service is horrible. We hit over 200gig in 4 out of the last 6 months. I'm looking at switching to comcast in our area. They offer speeds of around 6mbps for about $5 more than we are paying now with a much higher bandwidth cap (twice as much).
It is amazing to me how all the innovation on the Internet is toward high bandwidth utilization and these Internet Service Providers, instead of innovating and working on infrastructure as well, are coming up with new ways to charge old customers even more for the exact same service. This is going to kill Internet innovation for companies within our own country but at least it will be alive and well abroad where they don't have these ridiculous stipulations on their Internet usage (oh yeah, and they have far superior speeds at much cheaper rates as well).

I'm having the same issue. I've been AT&T Internet customer for at least 12 years. All of the sudden I have 150GB limit.
I rcvd a warning e-mail after I signed up Netflix. I've noticed that AT&T is running a special for new customer $19.95 per month for 12 months with 250GB. I am paying full price $43 per month and getting only 150GB. Who is best provider
for similar price in Georgia area? Comcast? Any suggestions?

I have 3 computers at home, 2 of us work full time with one at home. With what AT&T says you can do before hitting 150gb here is the usage they say I have used after NINE DAYS: You have reached 65% (or 97.5 GB) of your 150 GB data plan.
This is complete crap. I rarely download pictures, have little email, watch a few YouTube videos and my kids watch annime cartoons. We have two gamers which according to AT&T uses very little so what's the deal?
I wish I had options......
