This comic should really be about MTS.

Which is... nothing.

and also not every carrier is best in a certain area. go with the carrier best for you. and since Verizon has the iPhone now the excuse "I just want my iPhone to work" is no longer valid.

With that being said what's AT&T's excuse going to be for rude employees?

If you're having problems that are just YOUR phone, then MTS is pointless. If it isn't just you then either AT&T knows already or doesn't care.
It's worthless.
At least reporting problems to Rootmetrics means you're helping contribute data that solidifies the black eye AT&T has earned.

It is clear that the bureaucracy and cost surrounding capacity expansion is an issue and the carriers are limited in how quickly they can move.
However, ATT is charging a premium price for the iphone and its accompanying data service, twice what other global providers charge in EU and Asia, and that is for unlimited data in those markets. Those markets also offer the ability to link (provide a 2nd SIM card for a small monthly fee of 7 USD) to use 3g data on the ipad. That SIM is also UNLIMITED date usage. Twice the price, half the performance is what ATT 3g customers are getting now. Providers in Canada are now beginning to offer this one price unlimited data pricing linked between devices.
We can only hope for a more commercial FCC approval process and more competition to come into the US mobile market. For now there is limited competition and oligopolistic pricing, with the only people losing out are the subscribers.

before AT&T bought Bellsouth and the coverage area the AT&T network worked just fine. Since that time several years ago the service has degraded to the point that 3G is completely unusable (I have gone as far as turn it off so it doesnt keep draining my battery) and over the last several weeks EDGE hasn't been much better.
Now with the events of this week there is literally no service where I live in AL while Verizon users are happily talking, texting, emailing along.
Someone explain to me why I am getting charged $100 a month for a service that sucks this badly.
