I am another person moving to an area with NO AT&T service. The coverage map is incorrect, but I understand this is a mute argument. The map even shows my address on the wrong side of the river. AT&T stated I will have to pay them another $200 for a microcell to use my internet connection. So I pay my internet service provider and again for AT&T service and pay AT&T again for the microcell.
After reading this forum, I read that most of the MicroCells dont work. I dont want to purchase any more useless equipment from AT&T. Is there a way to verify that a microcell stands a chance of working in my new area? I may buy a microcell off an individual so I put a few dollars in a real persons pocket.
Since the surrounding areas are an AT&T partner area, I plan on using my 2600 minutes to constantly make calls. AT&T will cancel my contract for too many partner network calls. Good thing the contracts are already over on my other lines.
I actually like AT&T, sorry they dont like me.

You should be able to try it and return it. I would not buy it from someone else unless you know they unregistered the device so that you can register it.
