I've had service with at&t since 2005. I have nothing but great things to say about the service, speed, reception etc....until now. I relocated for work to a new area, both me and my wife had Iphones and now our service is barely working. Most times I'm on 1-2 bars EDGE service. Text messages take 5+ tries to send and picture messages...haha forget it. The best part was, I updated my account information and went to see when my phones could upgrade (so I could cancel) and it says now at&t doesn't offer service in this area and to call technical support.
I called support and all I got was there's 3 towers within 5 miles of me and 1 of them is in repair. There's no tower not working here. I work for at&t. I transferred to another position in the company here. We use verizon cell phones because you can't get at&t cell phones here. I'm now stuck until December (per support) or pay the 200+$ termination fees. She told me they cannot waive termination fees. Has anyone had any luck getting those termination fees lowered or removed when going from a 3g/4g area to an area that has no service ?

I do work for at&t but not in an area that I ever talk to anyone about wireless policies. I'm shocked they force people to pay so much to cancel a service that isn't working. <post edited>
