I am wondering if there is anyway to get AT&T to expand network coverage to an unserviced area? There is a State Park(Roaring River State Park, near Cassville, MO) that we visit serveral times a year which has NO AT&T coverage. No data OR cell. We have to drive about 5 miles into town to get cell coverage.
I wouldn't think as much about it if it weren't for the fact that Verizon has had coverage in the same area for several years now.
Recently, our car broke down in this area. We had NO way to contact anyone. Luckily for us, the owner of a nearby business used Verizon as his cell coverage and we were able to call a tow truck.
I've been a AT&T cellular customer since we signed up with Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems in the '90's. I've never considered changing before, but this has given me the thought that it may be time to move.
Anyone had any luck "prodding" AT&T to expand coverage? I mean, come on, if Verizon/Alltel can do it, why can't AT&T?
Thanks.
