I am a newer AT&T customer because i got fedup with Verizon services. I see many are having conflicts with their AT&T services. Currently as a new customer i only have 2 conflicts that hopefully be resolved soon.
1) We are in an AT&T 3G service area but we have trouble with service drops and unable to make calls or text and lose complete service and we are in the Carbondale, IL area.
It will either switch to searching for service, no service or change to E and we can do nothing from our phones.
What gets me is that even at that, it says that roaming charges could apply outside of AT&T service area, but we are in an AT&T service area with no service, so we cannot even pay roaming charges if we wanted to because we end up with no service at times.
Hoping AT&T is either in the middle of upgrades or solution will soon be resolved.
I mean since AT&T commercials claim they have a Bigger service area than Verizon even in Verizon areas.
2) there are 3 of my best friends that are still on Verizon. When we have service, i can call them and they can call me.
BUT, we cannot receive any texts from them and they cannot receive any texts from us.
we have the iphone 3GS and 1 of them has an iphone 4 and the other two android phones.
Hopefully this as well will be a quick fix.
So not complaining completely, because when the service works, it works good.
But hope for the service to improve, hopefully sooner than later.
