Really Frustrated

My home appears to be experiencing an outage. I no longer use a land line and looking online I can't find any way to report the outage or to check to see if the outage is known and expected to be fixed. I live in a rural area in Upper Peninsula of MI and my business uses AT&T because they usually have great coverage up here. We even are looking into purchasing phones for our kids through AT&T but not if there's going to be no coverage in our home area. How, exactly, can I find out about current outages or contact someone that can tell me if/when the outage will be fixed?!? By the way - I've tried logging in/creating an account and the process is NOT working for me.
