I’m an iPhone 4 user and after a full year of AT&T wireless service, I’m at the end of my rope. In an area that the coverage map lists as “best 3G” I have run speed test after speed test and after a year, my best speed is .21 Mbps Download and .10 Mbps Upload; this cannot be normal. I’m constantly switching from 3G to Edge, rebooting my phone, removed/inserted the SIM card and nothing helps. AT&T customer service claims “nothing is wrong in your service area” yet my access is often reduced to very slow speeds and text messages only.
Of course when I am actually in an AT&T store, I have excellent coverage and at home I use Wi-Fi, so I’m fairly certain it is not an issue with the phone itself. At this point unless someone has a suggestion here, I’m waiting out my contract and moving to Verizon ASAP.
Does anyone have any idea on how to improve this? Thank you so much for any help!

Possibly, although the coverage in the first few months wasn't intolerable and better than T-Mobile (which was why I switched in the first place). It has since slowed to a crawl, especially in the last 6 months or so.
