Wisconsin network future

Hello,

I just want facts, I've been an AT&T customer for 7+ years with three lines and depending on you, will be adding a 4th. I want to know what AT&T's plans for the state of Wisconsin are. Real information not the same fluff about always expanding and upgrading. I need to know what areas are going to get better coverage. I'm talking voice, bars, reception; not data speed who cares if I have 3g if I can't access the network? With that, who cares what your backhaul is if I can't connect to a tower in the first place?

I don't want to leave, I believe AT&T has been great with customer service and have been awesome. I am coming to a point where I NEED the network to improve. I have friends and family who's coverage and reception is way better than mine. I also want to know why other carriers provide a much stronger signal indoors than AT&T. I can be next to a person on us cellular for example, and they can use their phone while I get the emergency calls only message.

I'm having the same problems in Michigan. I have never been able to receive a straight answer from any CS rep or even a rep from AT&T's Office of The President. I've been calling for the past 6 months trying to get info as to when 3G would be going live in northeast Michigan. I got different answers from every AT&T person I talked to. Basically, no CS rep will know anything about upgrades in your area at all. The only people that really know are the network people that work in your area. AT&T CS and AT&T network techs are not connected at all. The only good info I got from the Office of The President was that my area in northern Michigan will not get 3G service until late 2013. With that said, I'm leaving AT&T (paying 4 ETF's) this fall and taking my 4 smartphone lines to Verizon. They have solid 3G in my area and will have 4G LTE here by the end of 2012. I'm paying AT&T full price right now useless data service.

Yeah I'm looking to either US Cell or Verizon as well, it's unfortunate. You would expect loyalty to be rewarded if by nothing else, so honest answers regarding the network that we use.

Watertown/ Lake Mills area. I have family in Tichigan, WI (dead zone), I have family in Leon, WI (dead zone).

Fear not my follow AT&T hater...in February AT&T acquired a huge 700mhz spectrum for all of southern Wisconsin...goes as far north as Stevens point. So as we speak they are building LTE network to covert all if southern WI. They will have two layers if spectrum to use as well and we will be running higher speeds than in Chicago. Should be done by September...that's why we are seeing outages...confirmed with national level 4 tech support and local techs who are building it now...hate to use AT&T company line but.....BE PATIENT

Thanks for the info. That is all I needed to know! Why it seems like I'm pulling teeth I'll never know. AT&T just tell us, yes we know the coverage in Wisconsin is pretty crappy and non existent in many areas but we are AT&T and refuse to play second fiddle to johnny come latelys and will have several major upgrades in Wisconsin. Help us to help you, as an AT&T user, I want AT&T to be the best, working together it can happen, so long as we work together honestly. Many of us here are truly in situations that need a real resolution, not lip service, I understand that there are ppl that will complain at the drop of a hat, but you need to sort through and realize that customers of numerous years aren't just complaining for the heck of it. Show us that loyalty to AT&T has some advantages.
