For some time now I have had problems getting even one bar at my home. I literally have to stand in the road to get a decent signal. I called ATT to see if there was anything that could be done and I was told that everyone on my block uses a microcell. Wow thanks for that info when I signed up for this nightmare!! So now I have to come up with another $200 to get a decent signal until 2013 when we are supposedly getting a tower about a block away. The agent told me that I would just have to pay the money and hope I can sell the microcell when we get the tower. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I pay for 4 phones and can get no help except a give us more money or hope you dont get hit by a car while you are trying to make a call. ATT IS THE WORST SERVICE!!!!

This is how the cell phone market works. 4 years ago ATT had 3G at my house and T-Mobile didn't even have EDGE. Didn't make them the worst.

You are right. Engineers design boosters, microcell, microtowers, and alternate WIFI call capability for a good economical alternative to a regular cell tower that may cost both time and money that need not be passed on to consumers.

What we have here is a company that has desperately tried to compete by short changing their customers. It is a real shame, because if the company needs to stay afloat... It will most likely cut the employees on the low end, struggling already. If I was signing up for two years of bargain service, that is meager at best, they should have told me! In the opt-out period, I complained and they said "degraded towers we will have them fixed shortly". I fell for it. Then they said it was my device, etc. Now they want that termination fee, and... NO!!! I don't think so!!! All I want is out, and rightfully so. I fail to believe that they didn't know what they were doing. I call it FRAUD!!! So I ask you AT&T... Is your $200 worth the backlash from a customer you have made false claims of service to??? In business, reputation is everything. Perhaps it means nothing to you??? The damage done by people who feel cheated can add up to much, much, much MORE!!! One last thing... I commend you for giving customers a place to vent, right here on your site. It shows that you have at least a little shame.
