coverage getting worse in Austin, TX

It seems that AT&T is messing with the network in Austin. I get times where I have 5 bars on my iPhone 4s, but I cannot get any data to pass. Is LTE deployment to blame?

I've noticed the same thing happen in various places around Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee on an iPhone 4s. I hope it is just someone playing with buttons in a control room somewhere and nothing that will be around long term.

I have had the exact same problem. And so have friends of mine that don't have iPhones on AT&T. I think this coincided with the launch of AT&T's 4G service. I have absolutely no data service in Austin anymore. Completely worthless. I can't believe they have let this go on for so long.

My husband is drive tester for Goodman networks which is a sub contractor for at&t they have been in Texas Mississippi Kentucky new Orleans and several other places over the last 7 months, he said testing in Texas is awful,but hope they will get it done soon and move on to something else.....

College Station is terrible and getting worse by the day! I am told it is the LTE rollout.. I would rather not have it!!

Yes! Finally got around to looking here to see if others are having the same experience. Used to be I could take 3g for granted everywhere, now it comes & goes. Plenty of bars but can't connect to websites, and apps that require connection time out. EXTREMELY frustrating. Seems to get worse in the afternoon.

I split my time between Austin & The Woodlands and it's happening in both places, steadily worse the last couple of months.

I was at IAH last week on a stormy afternoon and it was real difficult trying to get info on weather & flight delays. This is a real problem.
