I bet this is the Pocket MSN replacement.  What you are describing is the updated MSN Messenger and the Hotmail interface.  I think this bit of info helps a lot.

This is one of the WM6 updates that should make using MSN tools easier and more efficient.

Hi:
I'm really not sure, because it was preinstalled on the official UNBRANDED WM6 ROM I installed.  You might try a Google search though.
You can find the unbranded ROM at Treocentral, look for Updating CNG Treo 750 device with unbranded WM6 installer ( it's working great for me , but I am not suggesting or advising anyone to install it )

That ROM is for an UNBRANDED phone (phones sold with no service provider specified) , if you go to Treocentral, you will see how to get it to work on a Cingular/ATT phone.  It is an Official WM6 ROM, it is just not intended for AT&T phones.  AT&T still will not release their version of WM6, although ALL other Treo 750s have received the upgrade.

The unofficial AT&T Treo 750 WM6 ROM is called CHEEIMG.nbh.  It may be hard to find, but Google should help.

Let me know your email and i'll send the cheeimg.nbh file that i installed on my AT&T Treo 750 yesterday to you. I still can't believe that I waited so long to try it. It's definately worth the STRESS of waiting to see if it installs and works... LOL I was really nervous but now that it's done, i love it....

i think what att meant by a release of wm6 for the palm coming soon, is the launch of a new treo with wm6, forcing us 750 users to cough up $$$ for wm6. i'm switching to the next gen iphone, tired of this bs

Where did you hear this?  I have not seen any new Treos coming out.  I saw what looked like a mock up of a Treo 800, but I don't think it was real.

Does anyone know where to find the official att wm5 rom?  I'm thinking about flashing, but I want to make sure that I can flash back, just in case I need warranty repair service.....

There's no new Treo coming any time soon.  Lots of people keep tabs on FCC registrations which must occur before a phone is released.
