AT&T premier is a scam!!!

I odered the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket in January 2012 through AT&T Business Diret Premier. It clearly said it is a 1 year service agreement when I place the order. I even have the print screen that says 1 year contract. Now, when I check when exactly I am eligible for an upgrae, it says August 2013!!! That is a 2 year service agreement, not 1 year. I called the customer service. The representative said it was 1 yr agreement when I placed the order but automatically switched to 2 year when I activated the phone "because that is the agreement that AT&T has with the company." I received no document that says it is 2 year agreement. I had to login through the premier website in order to see the actually discount that was offered through the employer. There is no way that it "switched." It should have shown the actual price and actual agreement and should not switch without approval of the customers.
CONCLUSION: AT&T PREMIER IS A SCAM!!!! DON'T TRUST WHATEVER IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE!!!!

The scam just happened to me. I opened a business account for one year. Now I go to upgrade and can't until July!!!
If anyone is interested in suing, I am in!
How can they get away with this???????

That doesn't make sense if your contract is only for one year!

You obviously don't understand the economics of subsidizing a phone. They sell you a phone at an extreme discount (I.e. they sell it to you for much less than they paid for it). They recoupe the cost of that by your monthly service and it takes more than a year to recoupe that investment. If they allowed you to upgrade after 1 year, they'd never recoupe the cost. That is just not smart business. As someone else noted, there is a difference between the contract length and upgrade eligibility, they are two separate things. The fact that you could terminate service before they recoupe the cost of the phone is enough risk.
