I want to upgrade my 3GS to a 4S

Hey, everyone.

I've been looking everywhere to find an answer to my question, and I've finally ended up here because I can't find any help.

My 18th birthday is coming up in two weeks, and I've had my iPhone 3GS since November 2010. I'm having a lot of issues with my phone, and it's become very slow and I even have to beat it on the palm of my hand or squeeze it together to get it to play music clearly now (I'm guessing that it's falling apart from the inside-out - literally). I'd really love to upgrade my phone to a 4S, but after dialing *NEW#, I was told I wasn't eligible for an entirely free upgrade until November 9. I don't think my phone is going to last much longer, and I'd rather not be phoneless.

If I were to upgrade my 3GS on my birthday to a 4S (after 22 months of having it), how much would I be charged for it?

You will probabyl pay the early upgrade price, base cost of the discounted phone + 250.00

The upgrade price is $35, is it not? So it would cost $285 total to upgrade early?

I think the upgrade price is $36, and the early upgrade price $250 is on top of the full upgrade price.

the upgrade price depends on which phone you get (16gb is $199, 32gb is $299 and 64gb is $399). there is also a $36 upgrade fee.If you early upgrade, it is $285 plus the cost of the phone.
