can att store match another store price?

im about to upgrade my phone to get a galaxy s 2,, at sams club they have it for 48 dollars,, while at att online they have it at 100.. i havent been to the store, but the guy at sams club said the can match the price,, is it true?

have never heard of them doing so,  have heard them not even matching their online pricing, but you lose nothing by trying.

I would agree that they would not match other online stores but they did offer to match the online price for me recently for a phone model that is offered in both places.  Obviously they can not match a model that is not offered in the store and only online.  For instance stores do not typically have refurbed iPhones so they could not match that deal on a new iPhone, etc...

believe that they will price match certain items as long as it is not the price is not for a web pruchases.

Keep in mind that with Best Buy and other resellers, you may end up signing a contract for service not only with ATT but a secondary agreement with BB and their fees may kick in even if you keep your service but make a change before some period of time is up.  Just be very careful and understand what you are signing to understand your obligations.  That little bit of savings now could cost you more later.  How else do you think they can offer better prices?

I agree with youngjim but also keep in mind that when you buy from a store you typically get the store's return policies. In Costco's case that's 90-days on phones.

Try Target, they work with carriers directly, and they're known for price-matching too.
