Can you re-activate a Go Phone SIM?

I got a Go Phone SIM when I spent a month in the US this time last year (June/July 2011). I'm returning for a couple of weeks and would like to use it again, but it seems that the card is deactivated and the cell number no longer registered. Is it possible to reactivate it, or will I need to get a new SIM and start over? When I tried registering the SIM card number (starting 89...) online, I got the message that the SIM number "did not exist".

Anyone got any experience of this?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Your SIM card was deactivated. You will need a new SIM card. Did you register your previous SIM card from outside the US?

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to find out if someone can do the registration outside the US. So far most people cannot register from outside the US, though there was one that said yes.

Hi ilikewireless, You can register AT&T gophone SIM card from Canada using AT&T toll free 1-800 number.
