Grandfathered on 10c.min/plan on data?

I had since forever auto-renewal of the $5 data package with the 10c.min plan. I know that now my plan does not have data packages at all. I have over 500mb accumulated with this monthly renewals. The thing is that on my auto-renew due date, that it's in 3 days on 05/08 ,it now shows that it will renew with the $5 50gb package that would require my changing to the monthly plan. But i never changed my plan, it still shows as the .10c/min .

I was sort of grandfathered just for being in autorenewal before the change?

But now they change me from 10mb-5$ to 50mb-5$ ?

In 3 more days I will know.

No, you will not be grandfathered and yes the $5 package gives now 50MB.

Unfortunatelly despite of you probably receiving an alert saying that your account will be soon automatically debited $5 for the data package, on the day that it's supposed to take effect you will wake up to find that your data has been completely removed without any advance notice, and hours later in a very good at&t fashion you will probably receive a courtesy text telling you that your autorenewal has been cancelled for your convenience. I suggest you keep a copy of every single communication you get about it before and after the fact.

I'm in the same boat and that will happen to me too. I already have the BBB and my state AG numbers/website address on hand for when that happens in case at&t decides to do nothing about it.

data plan service auto-cancelled today with just 1 sms saying i need to get the 25/50$ package plan.

i still hv 100$ on my card which is worrying me now

You will get nothing. I had same plan as you. My renewal date was 5/5/12 and not only did I not get my 10mb, my current balance was wiped out. I had 0 data when I checked it and the only notice I received this was going to happen was AFTER they did it. I was given NO time to research my options. I got a text saying they were debiting my acct. $5 for the 50mb but that never happened.  It was followed by the text we cancelled your auto renewal for your convenience. Spent quite some time on phone with cust. service and bottom line was pay up or shut up.

Wow,I cant believe ATT will steal my 550mb on tuesday, they should let us keep the accumulated for a period of time,i will say one year, its mine I PURCHASED FROM THEM, HOW CAN THEY JUST WIPE IT OUT OF NOWHERE ? Thats robbery my fellows.

They will say that prepaid have no agreements,commitment and yada yada buy prepaid means also thay I gave them my money for my data and that data is mine now,they shouldnt be allowed to steal it from me,wow  !
