Have a sim card. How can i activate prepaid without buying gophone.

I have a new AT&T sim card. I want to activate prepaid but i dont need a phone. How do i activate just the sim card so i can use it with the at&t phone i have? I tried to do the prepaid activation but i keep getting error. Cant find a number for activations for prepay? Thanks!

Hi Julie, I noticed that you're a community specialist with a Canadian flag avatar so I'm assuming you specialize with foreign customers that use gophone as a viable option when traveling to the US. However, I am going to visit the USA very soon and I was planning on getting the 10 cent plan along with the $15 100mb data package. Overall, I would've spent approximately $25 dollars in this trip. ATT just changed their data package plans and now the cheapest plan  I can get with atleast 100mb is a $25 MONTHLY plan along with the $15 data package. This equates to $40 for a one week trip to the usa. I might as well just get a roaming plan with my current network instead.

Hi Jc2013. In order to send a private message, simply go to their profile by clicking their username and then clicking on "Send this user a private message" on the upper right hand side of the profile under the Contact heading.

I have a pay as you go sim card and would like to add funds to it. However, I don't remember my pin and it seems the only way to get a new pin is to get a text message from AT&T. This option doesn't work for me presently because I live in the U.K. Is there another way to get a new pin and add funds to my pay as you go sim prior to being in the U.S.?
