Samsung Jack Data

So, I've been using the GoPhone $50-a-month Unlimited Everything plan, and I've never had any problems using the data on my Samsung Flight, but since I've switched the SIM card into my Samsung Jack (SGH-i637) I've hardly been able to use the data at all. When I'm connected to wi-fi everything works fine, but when I'm not, Internet Explorer claims that there's a DNS Error, and none of my other applications that use data work either, even though in the Wireless Manager it claims to be connected to "Media Net" and the signal display shows it has 3G connectivity. At one point, I turned off the phone and turned it back on, and everything worked fine, but later that day I started having the same issues as before. Help?

It also may help to know that I can send MMS messages with no problem, both pictures and videos.

Not quite. The $50 unlimited monthly plan excludes data for smartphones. You will have to purchase a data plan if you want to use data.

Prior to switching to GoPhone, I was on a postpaid plan for almost 6 years using phones with Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6 and with neither of them did they REQUIRE me to get a data plan, and for at least 2 days straight, with occasional use in between, I was able to use the internet over the 3G network on my Jack. So the argument that it just doesn't work doesn't make sense to me.

Your perception is right. It may be that smartphones are not detected instantly.
