Hi. I am currently on my parent's at&t family plan but now that I am in college, I would like to get my own gophone plan. My question is, can I use my current Blackberry Torch and just put a gophone sim card in it? This would be ideal, but I am not sure if I can and would like to know if I am able to before I buy the new plan. Thank you!

You can terminate the current line with your parent's plan. If your line is still under the contract, you will be charged an early termination fee.
Yes, you can put a GoPhone SIM in it if you know you will be getting signals at your college. You may want to look at the coverage viewer for GoPhones, at the upper right of the forum screen. Additionally you may want to contact the college or classmates to find out if Gophones have signals in and outside the campus.
With a GoPhone data plan, you can have data connection that is
not the Blackberry kind. That means you can get Internet and e-mails but none of those that require Blackberry services. Best to google to find out more about BB on prepaid.
I wish you the best.
