iphone prepaid

Hi y'all! We just received 2 iphones that were given to us that are no longer in a contract, we would like to use these as prepaid,we do not want a contract, been there done that! We only use our current phones(alltel prepay) for like emergiencies and things like that. Can this be done? And can we keep our current number? thanks so much

iphones are not supported as prepaid, there are some people that have gotten it to work so you can post in the Iphone forum here and see. From what has been said it will work for voice but not data

yeah go to AT&T store and say that you want prepaid plan for iPhone. they will just get you the micro-SIM. for iPhone, there is no data of course. it will be only talk and text.
