pay as you go microsim card

i read that AT&T now has a SIM card that can be used either as a microSIM or normal SIM, like the image here:

is it also available for prepaid customer using unlocked phone?

the last time I bought a prepaid card from AT&T store in March 2012, they gave me a normal SIM only card, like this:

I am willing to bet that the SIM card in the first picture would work in an unlocked Android phone, given that you activate the phone as a GoPhone. Have you seen an Android phone with a microSIM?
