Will 2wirerealtime.exe work with the RG in the iNid? i3812V I think.

If not, do you have any plans to include it some day

I would like to make UVRT compatible with the iNID, but that will be difficult.

My installation does not use an iNID, so I can't easily develop for it. What will have to happen is someone who has an iNID and who has a strong interest in helping me make UVRT compatible with it will have to help me. I will need HTML source code captures from the iNID's web interface, and that person will have to repeatedly install some test builds of UVRT and give me feedback as to what's working and what's not.

If there is someone with an iNID who wants to assist me with that, I will definitely update UVRT to be compatible.

Sounds like fun. I'm retired so I can work with you any time it's convenient for you.

Just don't expect a uverse knowledgable person for a while.

I will gladly work with you if and when I get mine installed.

I have a "F" case open right now and waiting for the cable technician to verify and agree so the order could be issued. Should have the actual order issued by next week per the Uverse Sales Manager. We'll see.

Somehow someone closed out my F Case to get servide without any notification to me or the Sales group.

I had a new F case issued yesterday and they say 3-5 business days since it is being escalated this time.

If you can find some else to help you with screenshots I'd understand. Probably a minimum of 2-3 weeks before up and running with an iNid.

A side question:

Since I have the time, I think I'll run Cat 5e or Cat 6 versus my existing coax (it's almost 18 years old and probably a future weak spot).

The prem techs here use Belkin Cat 5e. I can buy a comperable Cat 5e cable at my local Lowes.

$85.00 for 1000 feet.

I can order Belkin Cat 6 for $147 for 1000 feet.

Do you think the cat 6 is worth the extra expense?

Each run of cable (7 total) will be between 100 and 120 ft.

No, I wouldn't bother with Cat6, for several reasons:

1. Cat5e is readily available, inexpensive, and can carry up to 1000Base-T (Gigabit Ethernet).

2. Wallplates, connectors, and cable ends can be put on by hand for Cat5e. You practically cannot do this with Cat6. The tolerances are so tight that it's nearly impossible to do it by hand and have the final cable be in-spec.

3. To use Cat6 cable and get a Cat6 in-spec system means you have to have Cat6 wallplates, Cat6 connector ends, Cat6 patch panel, etc. All of those are harder to find and more expensive.

4. Cat6 doesn't really improve things for you. The next step up from 1000Base-T Gigabit Ethernet is 10GBase-T (Ten Gigabit Ethernet), which requires Cat6a for full distances, not Cat6. If you think Cat6 stuff is hard to find, try to get Cat6a stuff.

5. If you're interested in 10 Gigabit Ethernet, you better have a lot of money lying around. Single port server adapter, $539. The least expensive 10Gb Ethernet switches out there are around $4000.

Anyway, I completely understand on the time delay for your F case ... whenever you're up and running, just post here & we'll go from there.
