Hi -
I recently signed up for UVerse in my apartment. I love the channel/internet selection, but the thing just won't work.
Had a guy set it up on Monday - kept freezing, getting red light on modem. Another guy came on Tuesday, switched from ethernet to cable, said it was fixed, but it just got worst. Third guy came back today, said the second guy made changes he didn't have to, said the problem was the outside line.
However, still having the same problems. Read online not to put the modem in a power strip. I thought that fixed the problem, but now it's back doing it again.
I downloaded the program I read about on these forums. I had the same problems with UVerse in the past and eventually got so frustrated that I cancelled the service, I was hoping that the problems would be fixed the second time around.
Here are my stats, can anyone help me/offer a solution? I would really appreciate any help/direction.

Is a tech scheduled to address the issue with the outside line? It would not be the same techs who would address issues inside your residence?

Your Bitloading graph shows a definite line problem caused by signal reflections; probably a bridge tap. Until they fix that, you're going to be quite unhappy. Stay on them to get that fixed.

I did send a PM to Alex.
Line tech came out today - said he fixed a bridge tap outside, it appeared to be good to go until an hour later I started getting the blinking red light of death again.
Here are my new readings:

Round 5 is scheduled for tomorrow. Called ATT tonight and they said my lines were good?? So I have no idea what is going on.

Your bit loading graph does look much better. Your error stats do not. It may be transient interference, e,g, something that happens when a large applicance comes on, because in your error screen shot, you've gone 24 minutes without any issue, after collecting huge numbers in the two hours before.

At night do any security lights come on for you building? Some of the older lights used to buzz (I think they were called Sodium lights) and they will cause all kinds of issues. I had a new larger patio built and everytime the contractor used an electronic power tool (saw, drill, etc.) that they had plugged into my patio outlet the RG would get the blinking red light and reset, come back up until they used the tool again.
So in an apartment it could be anything your neighbors are using causing the issues. You might read this and look at doing something like that.

They sent out SUPERTech today and it appears everything is good to go!
He gave us a new modem and did something with fiber optics outside? My chart looks perfect now.
Thanks for the feedback everyone, it helped me at least seem somewhat educated when dealing with the techs ![]()
