I have had a ATT gateway in my house for more than 5 years now. They installed a battery backup for their gateway and that keeps beeping every two months. The battery has been changed by ATT several times and the backup unit was also changed once. That does not seem to help - ATT is just installing junk equipment for a service fee avarytime we call them. And each call takes anywhere from 30mts to several hours to get them to send a tech to change a battery which goes bad anyway. I just wonder if this is really a technologically advanced company which cannot even fix simple things in their equipment.
