Certain programs not recording

Hi,

I've had issues with recording The Office.  I've checked the series settings and they are correct but the show is not recording.  I have plenty of space, there weren't any conflicts, and The Office is very high in my priority queue settings.

Is anyone else experiencing this?  What's the issue and how do I fix it?

I've been having this same problem with The Office; I missed another episode last night. The only reason I know I'm missing a new episode is because I can see the tail end of the show at the beginning of the next show. If this continues, I'll have to switch to Xfinity.

The only workaround I've found so far is to re-add the serires every week. For some reason I can add The Office on NBCHD multiple times as a series.

It sounds like we are having the exact same issue. Like you, I only knew because I recorded Whitney afterwards and saw the last minute or so. I have the DVR setup to record only new episodes of The Office so if it doesn't record, I just assumed it was a rerun.

This is the second time I know of that it has happened. I pay plenty of money for my service. This needs to stop happening or I will take my business elsewhere.

Luckily I can watch the missed episodes on NBC.com, but this isn't always an option.

I did a search for "The Office" for next week and the only ones that show up are the TBS reruns.

My work  around won't even work anymore.

Where do you live?  The reason I ask is because I have The Office setup as a first-run only series recording and I haven't that problem at all.  It could be a regional issue.

I'm having the same problem. (and I live in the bay area... not sure where everybody else is).

The Office might not be on next week because of Thanksgiving... that might explain why there aren't any shows scheduled for the future.

I just changed my series settings so that it records new shows and re-runs... thinking that maybe there was a problem with the new episodes getting tagged as new? It seems strange. As far as I know this is only happening with this series.

It could have something to do with the program info, but that wouldn't prevent the dvr from recording the entire episode.  At least I don't see how it could.

The program is not recording at all. The partial recording we are referring to is the overlap from recording the show before/after.

Im having the same problem with recording the Office as well. I live in Sacramento, CA. I tried re-adding it and it recorded one week and stopped after that. I have plenty of space available too, The show details even show its the first air date but it still doesnt record it. Somethings up

I'm having the same issue with The Office in Atlanta...fortunately, I have Hulu Plus, but it's still a pain.

I changed my series settings to record first run and repeats to see if it records next time - which will be the week after Thanksgiving, I think.

In St. Louis I had this problem with The Office and Prime Suspect.    I had them set up to record new shows.  The shows had the correct date, but they had stopped recording (noticed this about two weeks ago).   I set up a new Series Record on both, and both were set up to record, and did record.   The original series recording still showed up on my series list, and still did not show they would record...  I just deleted the old series recording off my list.     

I assumed there was some change in the identification of the shows on NBC Thursday that had changed that caused them to be missed.   So far my new series record has been working correctly.    I was able to watched the episodes I missed on Uverse Online.

The Office didn't record again tonight.  It should have recorded.  There were no conflicts and there was plenty of space.  What is the problem?

It sounds like if everyone is having the same problem it might be NBC's problem but who know's.

I had this problem again last night (March 1, 2012). Maybe it has to do with the cast of the show constantly changing. I can tell you my TiVo never had this problem.

I'm in the Dallas area and The Office DID NOT record last night here either.

Same Problen in St. Louis... didn't record March 1 and was not set to record March 8.  So I canceled that series recording, and set a new one.  It shows it will record next week now.
