Change Default Recording Settings on my DVR?

How can I change the default recording settings on my DVR? It's really annoying to have to change it every time I setup a new program. I mean I can change the option on the iPhone app, so.......

The default settings cannot be changed.

That's pretty silly, they should update that and allow you to change it.

agreed... just got uverse and seems like they are behind on some simple features like setting defaults and being able to record by keyword

click play
on the drop-down menu click series info
click series setting and change whatever you like
