Hi,
My uverse install is two weeks away and want to make sure I ask the correct questions up front.
I will be getting internet, phone and TV. Internet speed being the least important to me.
I have three TVs, two HD and one SD so I would like to be able to at least watch on both HD
tvs and record a third HD program at the same time.
The only info my sales rep told me was I should be getting
18mps internet speed. She also mentioned pair bonding.
There are two VRADS in my area that I could find,
one is pretty close to a mile away the other is maybe 3500 ft, can't find any other ones.
1) If these are the nearest, is this feasiable?
2) What profile would I need and can the installer determine this before the install?
3) Can someone explain what the profile numbers mean and how they relate to HD capabilities?
Thanks!

If possible you should be there when the tech does the line testing/install. Be sure and ask how far you are from the VRAD. Keep in mind if you are judging the VRAD to be 3,500' away you don't really know how long the line winds around underground. Only a tech can tell by metering.
Sales may have mentioned pair bonding since sounds like that's what you need at that long distance. Actually sales knows nothing about installs and hopefully pair bonding is available in your area.
Everything depends on how strong a signal can be reached from the VRAD. This includes internet speed, SD/HD profile, etc.. About all you can do is wait for the tech to do the testing/install.
Here's some info on SD/HD profiles in a thread.
Good luck.

You'll need a 32/5 profile for 3HD/1SD. As Uni stated, you won't know for certain what profile you'll have until the tech tests your line.

Depending on the market, some will get 3HD/1SD on 25/2.
