I had a recent intstall, and everything about the Uverse TV is great, but for one hiccup. While watching a recording, invariably (at least once during the recording) the connection fails for about 10 seconds or so. Mildly irritating, as you can understand.
Any tips before I call for tech support?

When you say connection are you referring to the connection frmo the stb to the tv, or the connection of service to the stb? It is not really clear which connection you are refering to.

I think it's the service, as an error message shows up ever so briefly before going black for the 10 seconds or so. It is so fast that I don't have time to read it, but it is an AT&T error message.

Do you think it said something like Network Error? The reason I ask is I experianced this same thing last Thursday while my wife was watching American Idol. It was recording as she started to watch and she was about 15 minutes behind the live broadcast. As she fast forwarded thru the commercials she finally cought up to the live feed as she was forwarding. The whole thing locked up and she received a message on the screen saying something like "Network errors have terminated this feature" or something close. So I switched to the live channel (1029 here in SA) and it was frozen meaning no picture at all. So I went back to the recorded channel 9999 and it was working again. After American Idol was over I switched back to 1029 to watch the news and it was still locked up yet the SD channel 29 worked fine. Watched the news and went to sleep and by the morning 1029 was back working fine. Don't know what she did (if anything) but that had never happened before.
