I know this has been asked before, but all of the posts I've seen are from 2008/2009 and all are conflicting. Does AT&T provide an HDMI or component cable during hook up? The rep in the chat told me no, but I asked the rep who I placed the order with and they said yes. So which is it?

Yes, AT&T will provide the necessary cables during your installation.

They will if they happen to have them on the truck, sometimes they do run out.
Personally I like my HDMI connection better than my component connection, I can see what I call slight degradation in the component signal (softer look, not quite as sharp and much lower sound level) on my Panasonic 42" 1080i plasma. Many others can not tell a difference between the two connections. ![]()

Well I prefer HDMI myself, but I will be willing to take component if need be. With my current provider I do not have HD, and the only HDMI cable I have is for my PS3. I was willing to go buy some, but if they have them I didn't want to waste the money.

On U-Verse, I feel that Component hides some of the compression artifacts.
