Few weeks ago my receiver played dead (repeated client initialization error) and tech support sent me the a new receiver, ISB7500. However, I tried the old one and it came back to life and had no issues for over a week.
Now I have to decide which unit to send back.
I read about a lot of issues with the newer receiver, but it seems these were fixed following a S/W update few months ago.
The 7500 has 50% more space and supposedly faster channel switching time and better video performance.
However, I had so many problems with Uverse in the past and now when everything finally works fine, I'm considering the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach.
I don't mind losing my existing recordings when I install the new one.
I'll appreciate your insights, Thx

The Cisco ISB7500 has a faster chip, more memory and a 500 GB hard drive.
