Just lost all my recordings

Somehow my box all the sudden froze up and did a disaster recovery. I had over 70 recordings and now they are all gone. This really sucks.
It happened last night and again this morning. I have never had any issues since I got uverse. I have had my xbox for a few weeks now and this just happened last night. I can post pics from realtime later on. Anyone know why this may have happened?

Definitely sounds like the DVR is going bad, probably a failing hard drive.
You probably want to call tech support and have them come replace it.

Have a tech coming out tomorrow. Is there any reason why my xbox would not be getting a signal. I am thinking maybe the hpna adapter has gone bad, so I am going to try to hook it up by by bypassing the hpna adapter and hooking it up where my uverse stb is now to see if I get a signal.
Xbox was working fine last night even with the issues.

If your dvr is functioning in a way that you are losing all of your recordings, they will replace it. If you don't have a dvr with the larger hard drive ask the tech if he/she has one on their truck.

Well officially I would think the box needs to be replaced. I have no recordings on my dvr as we know and a message popped up that said unable to record. Please delete some recordings. Also in system options, system information, disk usage says N/A. Basically it is not reading the hard drive at all and I have nothing on the hard drive.

Error message I am getting was unable to record because too many recordings have been saved. erase some recordings

Could any of this have been cause becuase my dvr box is plugged into a surger protector?

No. Sometimes the dvrs just fail. Sometimes it is gradual and sometimes it is fast. It is never a happy time or convenient.

I am just glad I am getting someone out here tomorrow. So didnt have to wait too long.

Got everything replaced. The guy put on new connections on the coaxial cable, but was getting glitches every 30 seconds or so for 1 second or half a second. So the guy ran a new network cable and no freezing or anything to xbox. Not sure how my wife will like it because you can see it, but I dont think it is that bad.
