Uverse happen to become available once my promo with Comcast ended. Staying with them would've cost me an extra $60 more a month to maintain the same service, so I decided to switch. Everything was great with Comcast, just got expensive.
Uverse Installation was fairly quick and the tech was knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions that I gathered from reading posts on utalk. My house has some 2 prong outlets, but it wasn't a problem for the RG or the STB that are connecting to it. I'm less then 2000 ft away from the VRAD, on the 32/5 profile and able to watch 4 HD streams at once. The only problem that I ran into was a bad DVR box that developed a "red x" after 5 days of service, which they replaced the next morning and still working today.
I've had Comcast and Dish and I must say that picture quality (especially with sports) is not as great, but it is "acceptable". I'm a big sports guy and need to be able to watch the local pro teams in HD. I guess it really depends on the feed coming from the station, because ESPN MNF looks great right now.
So far so good and we hope it just gets better the longer we stay with Uverse. Still haven't seen my first bill, so my opinion may change after getting it.
Just hope this helps others decide whether they want to try Uverse. BTW, I got the Triple Bundle

Interesting, my experience with the ESPN MNF was so bad we had to switch over to SD since it was distracting and hurting our eyes. Otherwise I find the PQ to be acceptable most of the time.
I wonder if some TVs have processing in them to handle certain video problems better than others do?

Not sure, but it looked great on my end. Watched some NBA highlights...didn't look too good. I'm hoping it gets better by the time NBA season starts.

It could have been an issue local to me. Most of the time the PQ is good. Not OTA quality but still good.
