Is there such a thing as a wireless TV? I want to wirelessly "connect" the wireless receiver to the TV. How is this done? Thanks!

Just google wireless HDMI & you will find a plethora of choices.

Ok. Thanks. So the wireless HDMI hooks to the TV to get the signal from the wireless box?

There is some kind of dongle that plugs in to the RG that communicates wirelessly with the STB that has another dongle that communicates wirelessly to a dongle on the TV.
Seems like an unnecessary duplication. One wireless gets you to the location. At the location the TV and STB both must be plugged into AC.
Seems like an HDMI cable between the two is not a big deal.

So, my wife wants to watch TV in the kitchen without having to have the STB next to the TV. What I understand from the initial reply to my question is that I need a wireless HDMI kit. The transmitter is connected to the STB and the receiver is connected to the TV. The physical footprint of the HDMI receiver would be significantly less than a Uverse STB. Am I understanding correctly or is there a simpler approach of which I'm unaware? Thanks!

If you do not want the STB visible next to the TV you can hide it in a cabinet, closet, basement and still connect it to the TV with a wire.
If you cannot place it where it is visible to the IR remote signal you need either an IR repeater (that has a visible component) or a point anywhere remote from u-verse.
If possible, I would wire the STB to the TV rather than a wireless HDMI.
