Hi I recently order my U-Verse package and i have this question. My house is fairly new so i have Coax as well as unused CAT5 cabling (the wall drop is not there, but the wiring existings behing the existing (phone + Antenna) wall-plate). I am not well versed in networking stuff. so the question is if i ask the Uverse installer to use my existing CAT-5 cabling and provide connectivity via CAT-5 for all uverse services will I incur additonal expenses or will it part of the install ?
Thanks in Advance..

From the sounds of it, you have all the wiring you need. As the CAT5 is in place, all the Uverse tech should have to do, is put the connectors on the ends (for which there should be no charge). If the wall plates are modular you may want to get the parts required for the CAT5 terminations, if not, just go out to home depot or some such place and purchase the plates that include all three connection types (RJ11, RJ45, and COAX).
