UPS battery hot swappable?

I just received a new battery for the FIOS battery backup unit. Is it hot swappable? The instructions don't mention powering off the unit and unplugging it. I don't want to get electrocuted. ![]()

Yeah, sorry. GS Battery stuffed the Verizon instructions in the box with the battery instead of the AT&T instructions. I guess it's the INID battery backup? Battery model# GT12080-HG.

Looking at this guide, I don't see any instructions to disconnect the power source, but I do see instructions to push a button to reset the alarm:

It also says:
Battery replacement is detailed on a label located inside the front cover of the BBU
