I want to be able to use the remote for the Motorola boxes to control my Xbox 360. Or getting it to control a Media Center PC should work as well. Anyone have any luck with that? I have the 360 set to 360 and media center remotes. Apparently the code for RCA DVD players is supposed to work, but I tried all the ones listed in the remote manual and none of them turned off my 360.
Seems a bit odd that a remote designed to control a STB with Microsoft's media software wouldn't work with a PC running Microsoft's media software.

Oh, I guess I should've said the remote not working with the 360 was ironic.
I know my Dish Network remote didn't control my 360 either, I guess it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that the U-Verse remote also doesn't.
I'm certainly not getting a Harmony remote as having a remote for my 360 isn't a big deal. It would just be nice to pause movies without having to turn the controller back on.

The code to control your xbox 360 is 3223. I have been using the u-verse remote to control my 360 for over 6 months now and its been great, but as of Oct 1, 2009 it has stopped working and I went to re-program my AUX button to try to fix it and it says the code is invalid. So if someone knows how to fix this please let me now.
FYI, I just programed my uverse remote with 3223 and am using it to navigate the XBox 360 console, and watching a movie through netflix through my Xbox. Seems to be working fine. I would say just give it a try again.

The code for a U-Verse remote remote to fully control a Xbox 360 is 3223, but there is two thing that some people may not know.
- Since the '3223' code starts with a '3' and for some reason the U-Verse remotes are progammedto where if the code starts with a '3' it can only be set to the 'AUX' botton. (You can see this in the middle of the third coloum of the 'AT&T IR U-verse TV Remote Control User Guide')
- By default your Xbox 360 is set to only accept IR signals from a Xbox 360 Media Remote, but it can also be controlled by a Windows Media Center Remote. And the '3223' code acts as a Windows Media Center code. So, you have to tell your Xbox 360 to accept signalsfrom both remotes. (My Xbox>System Settings>Console Settings>Remote Control>Both Remotes)

Is it true that the used XBox 360 market is now flooded with hacked (but now banned by Microsoft) XBox 360's? I heard that MS banned something like 1.5 million units earlier this month and that they have been showing up on Craigslist, in droves. True? Could I still use a "banned" one (if I found one) to stream videos from my PC to the 360 or did the ban only kill XBox Live?
Thanks Dave - who is not too familar w/XBoxes

I have tried all these codes and I went into the XBox 360 console setting and verified that it could use both controls and still no codes that are noted here are working. My XBox 360 is brand new and I wonder if they have blocked this functionality.I would think not since there is an option... weird!
I notice that most of these post are rather old so I am wondering if there are any recent updates.
In the remote control code list that came with the controller when AT&T installed the box and my TV (didn't have the XBox 360 at that time), it says the code should be 2062 but that ain't-a working neither!!!

The problem with this is that you have to connect to Xbox Live while you're in the process of installing the UVerse program on your XBox. So if you try and install it on a banned console, it won't work.
Resident Xbox ACE. Ask me almost anything about U-Verse on the Xbox.

I have the new standard black remote, Not the point anywhere one, I used the code for Hewlet Packard Under the DVR list. 3184. I have the origional Xbox 360 and my setting on the remotes is set to Both Remotes. I had been searching every where and now I can control my xbox just fine. I had trouble with the 3223 code because I think that code is for the older remote.

I have also tried every remote code mentioned in this thread and I couldn't get anything to work. I think if the standard U-verse remote could work with the Xbox 360, at&t would have used it in the Uverse/Xbox kits instead of the standard Xbox 360 media remote control...
