I moved into a new home and used the dinning room for a living room, the room did not have a prewired tv coax connection and during the install of AT&T Uverse I was estatic not to have to a new cable connection installed inside of the house (IN VIEW) and to get the new wireless box. Along with the wireless box I got a DVR and a normal box, Internet and Phone and the latter have all worked GREAT, not a single problem.
The wireless box first installed reset while watching normal programing and sometimes pageing thru the guide atleast once every night. I called the AT&T Uverse help and after 3 levels tech tranferers and 1 .5 hours on line I "FINALLY GOT A TECHNICIAN". He walked me thru all the same questions all the previous tech's ask and then finally got down to business. He told me how to reboot and reset a cmos download. That failed because I had an older box, cmos chip memory not big enough for the new update (Confirmed by a TRUSTED AT&T Installer Friend) and that was the problem. The box was DEAD! OK! I was happy to have the replacement box delivered and installed the next day by 9 am "QUICK".
Now that I have the updated wireless box you would think all is well, "NOT!" The box resets on a regular schedule (between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm every night) just like the old one did, it even reset twice right in the middle of the AFC/NFC football play offs all by it's self. "Was luck to watch whole supper bowl today without one reset".
I have used Comast, Charter, Direct TV and AT&T gives more for the price but I am close to calling it quit's with them, come get your equipment and close my account if I spend more than 15 minutes on the phone again. "I feel like I am not a trusted customer and the hoops their representives make me jump thru are insulting".

On my second wireless receiver, first box failed due to internal CMOS memory was not big enough to support an upgrade, as told by the good AT&T TECH. This receiver was the first generation receiver, NOW ON A SECOND GENERATION, new receiver fails atleast 2/3 times a day during prime time. During NASCAR racing it finds the time to fail during the last lap.
I am tired of calling help, using help online and buildt in the receiver (Treated like a dummy, never fixed and or no reply at all) .
WOW, they want your money but when it comes to service "they fail to take care of their valued customers".
My year is almost up AT&T Uverse, The ball is in your court, Comcast Xfinity is looking really good now!
Day's to go and I will post all my video's of failures on Utube, over 4 hours to show the world about the AT&T's wireless equipment.

I am experiencing the same thing.....my receiver resets itself every single night.....and now it takes on average 15-20 minutes before I can it completely back. Oh not only that, but when you go to the list of recorded shows and click on the one you were watching, it starts the whole program all over again. I have spent more time on the phone with ATnT than I care to count....and NOTHING works.
I have decided now to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
The is the worse service.
