Any idea when the wireless receiver will be available for use with INID?

I wouldn't hold my breath. The architecture of how the signals from the iNID are fed into the home makes this an issue.

1. HPNA over Coax. This is usually used to feed set-top boxes for IPTV.
2. HPNA over twisted pair. This is usually used to feed the i38HG, and therefore all computers.
3. User Ethernet port. By default, disabled, but can be enabled in the web interface. Usually not connected and not used.
4. Technician Ethernet port. Enabled, but never connected to the user's wiring. I don't know if you can access the Internet or the IPTV over this port.
Anyway, if the homeowner has a spare Cat5e cable going out to the iNID, you could theoretically terminate it, plug it into the user Ethernet port, and turn that port on in the web interface. Then inside, plug that cable into the 802.11n wireless access point to feed the wireless STBs.

I've experimented with my INID some since it is easily accessible and located inside the house versus outside.
The ethernet port works fine for internet access as long as you feed all STB's via coax. Mixing internet and multicast traffic will cause slow internet, etc.
The I38HG can also be fed via the ethernet port. Just disconnect the "green" data line on the 138HG and go straight to the ethernet port, or in my case via a 108T netgear switch V1.
The technician access port can be used for internet. However it uses the 172.16.0.X IP range in DHCP versus 192-168.1.X range.
The technician port cannot be used for STB's It blocks Multicast. STB's will only briefly show the unicast IP video before it blacks out.

Some U-verse technicians had a discussion on this topic on the Uverseusers.com forum.

But wouldn't you have to (manually) turn it back on every time the iNID rebooted?

There's a fix in the works and should be ready shortly. They are putting together the necessary infrastructure to do it. The recent updates to the iNID have corrected the issues that were being encountered previously. There's going to be only one way to install it and they will have to be setup correctly.
