Hi all! I plan to get Uverse triple play and will rewire my house for it because it's fairly convenient for me to do. I'll have Cat-6 in place for the home run, all TVs and the PCs. My question is, can I leave the existing phone wiring as it is in Cat-3? None of the phone jacks are looped. They each have their own run from the wall plate to a 6 x 6 junction box just inside my attic access door where they all bond together with a run from the NID. I would add a phone line from the future RG to this box where all phones bond. I only use a few phones but want to maintain the eleven phone jacks for convenience. So would it be necessary or a noticeable improvement to upgrade the wiring for the phones?

Rijoni - Kudos to you for your research/preperation.
As long as the existing tel wiring is working fine it should be fine for U-voice. All you are doing is changing the soource of dial tone, from the NID to the RG. The rest stays the same.
Since you are all cat6 for the TVs and computers, you need to consider switches for distribution. The RG has only four ports. Connect a switch for TVs and a switch for computers. Each switch connected back to the RG.

I understand and thank you. I'll only use 3 TV's and the 4 PCs now on DSL are fed by a D-Link 4500 router. Could I use the four Ethernet ports on the RG to feed 1-DVR, 2-STBs, and the 1-Router? Or would I be best to use a switch or two switches as you suggested.

Rijoni - Your post sounds valid. The one caveat is including the router can be tricky, but it sounds like you know what you are doing. If you have trouble, there are many here that can help.
I just mentioned the two switches because it sounded like you had a vast network. If, at some point, you do go for more keep the TVs and computers seperate back to the RG.
