Xbox DVR & On Demand Playback is Choppy / Stutters

Hi guys,

I'm hoping someone here can help.

I've already had a tech out to my apartment and he was unable to fix the problem, but he also referred to my Xbox as Play Station for 2 hours.

The Setup:

Bed Room:

Uverse HD DVR box - Coaxial

Living Room:

Uverse 3800HGV-B - Coaxial

Xbox 360 Slim - Cat5 directly to Uverse 3800HGV-B

Bedroom:

Xbox 360 Slim - Coaxial -> Cat5 converter

The Problem:

Live HD TV plays back perfectly on all systems, BUT...

DVR'd Content and On Demand content are ridiculously choppy and stutter throughout playback on the Xboxes.

On the Main DVR box, playback is fine, but on the Xboxes it plays then stops, then plays stops, etc etc etc.

Anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it?

When the Uverse Tech came out he said that signal between all the machines was "fine".

Can you download and install SomeJoe's tool at the link below?

Once you install the tool, please post screenshots of the following tabs: IP/Profile, Error Table, Bitloading, & Coax/HPNA.

We can take a look at the screenshots to see if there appears that you might be an issue with your system.

Thanks for posting those. If you have receivers that are feed by coax cable, can you run the Extended Test an then post the Coax/HPNA tab?

I experience the same issue with my Xboxes and HD on demand content, although now this problem doesn't happen as oftten.

The Xbox works perfect with SD on demand content.

So I guess this is just a case of a slight incompatibility with HD on demand and the Xbox, because my at&t DVR works perfectly fine with all on demand content.
