I think the key is it has to be not today...if you look now for Driving Miss Daisy, you'll see a choice for today that is PLAY only (but you can pause it and come back whenever), and 2 other choices in the next week--those offer the Record option.Edit--And I am talking about the free VoD that comes with U400, so it might be different on VoD that you pay to rent?

Message Edited by spd2demun on 03-17-2008 05:25 AMOf course those (Driving Miss Daisy) have the option to record. Those are being shown on the HBOSIG channel (807)As far as I know, the free VOD programs cannot be recorded.

spd2demun wrote:OK, what is the difference, in UV's eyes, with VoD that you watch on HBO and can record, vs. the same program on VoD (that's also HBO), but it will only let you Play and not record?I discovered what Pip was saying last night while looking for John Adams. Part 1 was listed as a VoD (using Search), but it could only be played. But the same program was on HBO VoD (LiveTV) and could be Recorded. What determines this?

spd2demun wrote:I know I am confused! That deal with John Adams using Search messed me up.Why is one VOD (free HBO) IF you subscribe, but not Recordable; the others are HBO VoD, but are Recordable. I am lost...

You know a lot about fixing problems with the U-verse equipment. How they should be wired. I read a thread in another post where you were giving info, I was wondering where you learned all of that? Or are you an engineer or something?
