I programmed my my Verse remote with my new Samsung TV model: LN32D450G1D. All the functions work fine except the volume. I can raise the volume fine, but when I try to lower it nothing happens.

Samsungs do seem to be difficult. You can do two things:
1) Keep trying - get more codes or go beyond the first code that works in the ff/power method.
2) Almost all setups use the TV volume/mute to control volume & keep the STB at a fixed(highest) volume. You can set the Samsung at some fixed volume & vary the STB volume with the remote.
I just changed my setup to number two because Ihave a hidden STB with the point anywhere remote & do not want to power off both STB and TV with one button. I want to see the STB off before I off the TV.
Originally, I was keeping the sound off for this TV. Now I am turning the sound up. I turned on the STB. Since I am in the STB mode I vary the sound on the STB.
I don't want to confuse you - you can still power everything with one button - just change which sound control you are using.

Did your remote work properly with your previous TV?
I guess, if it were me, I contact AT&T CS and ask for a new remote as my first move. If you were having problems with channel changing and other functions I'd have other suggestions but since your problem is with just the one function, I vote for getting a replacement remote.

Sounds like it's not the exact code for the Samsung model as there are a number of codes for Samsungs:
1004, 1005, 1011, 1014, 1018, 1019, 1061, 1072, 1073, 1074, 1097, 1098, 1156, 1161, 1297, 1314, 1323, 1360, 1363, 1364, 1490, 1492, 1510
1171, 1172, 1173, 1174, 1175, 1197, 1198, 1199, 1200, 1245, 1246, 1325, 1327, 1352, 1354, 1443

I know on my remote, when the batteries are low, the down volume is the first to work poorly, fresh batteries bring the down volume back to normal. Have also found if I press the TV button at the top, the right/left arrows can also control volume up/down. Good luck ![]()

Tried all the codes one by one and still can't lower the volume. Thanks for the codes anyway.

Have you tried this?
2) Press the "OK" button and release it and the AT&T key at the same time. All the universal lights will flash twice.
3) Type 955. The AT&T key will flash twice
4) Press "Enter"
Now you can turn your motorola box all the way up. Once you get it set how you want, we need to set the remote back to control the TV volume instead of the motorola box. To do that:
1) Press and hold the AT&T button on the remote
2) Press the "OK" button and release it and the AT&T key at the same time. All the universal lights will flash twice.
3) Type 955. The AT&T key will flash twice
4) Press "TV". The TV light will flash twice
All of this is assuming that the TV button on your remote is already programmed to control your TV.

We have 2 kinds of TVs my father uses. On both of them, we change the volume a lot (he's very hard of hearing and changes it higher when I'm not around), and apparently changes it a lot while he watches. He watches a lot, and has worn out the volume controller on three remotes. When we start a new one, the volume works fine. I think there is something wrong with the design of the Uverse remote volume control... an engineer friend of mine says they operate by a printed set of contacts inside, so using one button a lot wears off the contact material.
