Everyone has a dynamic IP address unless you are paying for static IP addresses.
The fact the dynamic IP address doesn't change (mine has been the same for almost 4 years) does not make it static as it can possibly change on an RG change or VRAD port change. A static IP address would not change under those circumstances. ![]()

Possibly under the 2 items I listed above as all Uverse internet comes out of the VRAD's ports and cards. ![]()

I mentioned a method to check your ip address whether it is dynamic or static . You can turn off your modem or reset it then switch on your modem ,if the ip address changes means you have dynamic ip address or otherwise if it does not changes means you are having static ip address.Don't forget to check your ip address before and after resetting your modem in this site ip-details.com .
You can not change your ip if your are having static ip address. If you are having dynamic ip means you can simply change them by resetting your modem or else by using proxy or hide ip softwares.

Just because you restart the RG and you don't get a different IP does NOT mean you have a static IP. Like what has been said before everyone has a dynamic IP unless you are specifically paying extra to get a static ip. It has been a while since I have seen the price for that last but I believe it is 10-15 bucks extra just to get a static ip.
