U-Verse set-top boxes show up as "unknown123456789D10" devices on RG - How to rename?

All of my U-Verse TV set-top boxes show up in my Residential Gateway as "unknown1233456789D10" (a unique number, of course). Is there a way that I can rename this to "Family Room" or "Game Room" like I can on the devices themselves?

I know it's a long shot, but it can't hurt to ask.... Thanks.

The 2Wire gives you an opportunity to rename them, I believe, but the names will not stay there. After a period of time, they revert back to "Unknown....".

I believe the set-top boxes do not broadcast their name in their DHCP renewal packets like computers do, so the 2Wire router does not know what the name is.
