Hi all, so we have several apple products in our home and they don't play too well with the uverse 3600. I have one hard wired desktop pc that works fine, one windows laptop that works fine as well so the connection is solid. It's just anything apple doesn't seem to hold the connection. Three macbooks, one iphone, and one ipad crap out here and there.
I was using the 10.0.0.1 IP range and setting static ip's to everything cause i had this same problem when i first got uverse. But due to whatever firmware update that was done recently i had to switch back to the traditional 192.168 etc IP range. Now the macbooks are working like crap again and drop the signal every few minutes or so. It's extremely annoying and would love to fix it today. I have a Netgear N300 wireless router and wanted to know if i can use this as the wireless router instead of the uverse 3600. I don't have uverse tv, just internet and home phone. If anyone can recommend a fix or how to set this up i would appreciate it, thanks!
